Hamlan’s new display homes

Local family owned business Hamlan has played a key role in the region’s flourishing housing market for the past 34 years.
It has grown from its origins in Anglesea, where it began rebuilding homes after the Ash Wednesday fires, to today where the company is Geelong’s largest builder employing 50 local staff as well as onsite sub-contractors.
General manager Andrew Carroll said that what makes Hamlan different is that it builds in its own backyard.
Everyone in the team lives here and is intimately familiar with the region’s lifestyles and landscapes.
“Our local perspective shapes everything we do, and as a business we take great pride in contributing to the growth of Geelong.”
In 2016 after 18 months of research, Hamlan released its new architecturally designed Aspect range. These homes were inspired by the space and freedom of the region’s coastal areas, showcasing 17 new designs with the incredible ability to reconfigure each floorplan with up to 12 options.
The range includes single and double storeys, reverse living options, an innovative design for sloping blocks and contemporary acreage homes.
The Aspect range offered an incredible opportunity for clients to take an architecturally designed, premium home and add their own personality.
Whether it’s moving a living area to the front of the home, changing the layout of the kitchen, or extending the garage to create more storage, Hamlan has spent a lot of time developing its options to suit any location or lifestyle.
Hamlan has recently finished building six new display homes across the region that showcase some of the new Aspect floorplans and facades.
Andrew Carroll said that the company has purposely displayed the Buckley 279 home in two locations so that clients can understand how one design can feel like a new home when a different façade or option is selected.
“We chose our Scenic façade on our Buckley 279 display in Armstrong which creates a lot of light and height via the highlight windows.
“With the addition of the boat yard option to the rear of the home the dining area easily flows out to the alfresco via stacker doors.
“This is a real contrast to the Buckley 279 that is on display in Gen Fyansford with the Focus façade and its alfresco area off the meals area.”
Hamlan’s new display homes showcasing its Aspect range are open seven days a week, 11am-5pm at 8-10 Casey Boulevard, Fyansford – Gen Fyansford, 19-21 Maroubra Street, Armstrong Creek, Warralily Coast, 14 Sacramento Street, Ocean Grove – Oakdene Estate, 47-49 Unity Drive, Mt Duneed – Armstrong Estate.
